Summer camp at Alrowwad

Summer camp at Alrowwad has continued despite the many obstacles - the pandemic, lockdowns and incursions by the Israeli army.

We had two wonderful summer camps, with 150 children in the first and 120 children in the second. Girls and boys found new spaces, activities and means of self-expression in different ways to build peace within themselves, and to be peace-builders in their community and beyond.

We enjoyed the support of Viva Palestina Malaysia and Les Amis de la Culture et des Arts de la Palestine-France. The programs included theatre, dance, music, painting, photography, film making, handicrafts, health and environmental educational. The summer camp concluded with a mural in the camp – We are Jerusalem, which is also to the title we gave to the summer camps this year.

We are deeply grateful for all those partners and friends, institutions, organizations and individuals from different parts of the world, who continued to support us morally and financially. Our "Beautiful Resistance" continues.
