Alrowwad launched first Media Training project
Bethlehem - Alrowwad Cultural and Theater Society (ACTS) in cooperation with Palestine News Agency launched the first Media Training project in the Bethlehem Governorate, which targets youth and university students from different regions who are interested in media. This training will provide them with opportunity to learn and acquire new skills within media new technologies in Palestine. For his part, Dr. Abdelfattah Abusrour ACTS founder and general director of Alrowwad said that “for the first time the trainees will receive training programs of innovative methods which allow them to make their media production in creative and modern ways”. ACTS continues to create possibilities for future generations to be able to break stereotyped images about Palestinian people and show a brighter image of Palestine.
Within the opening meeting of the training program, the trainers introduced their training plans for the first phase of the project in front of twenty-five trainees who are divided into five small groups that will represent all media options and will be given some tasks to work on and to implement their curriculum. Their media productions will be displayed upon meetings with Palestinian and Arab media organizations under the supervision of the Palestinian journalists Syndicate, which embraced the launch of this project.
The Ministry of Information will host the trainees in its headquarters in Ramallah for a full day. This day will include an introduction of the different sections of the ministry, giving the students an opportunity to participate with the ministry staff in providing services for the people to touch more on the importance of media and its impact on decision-making and the importance of having a specialized media to serve the society.
